Aarhus University administers Danish State Scholarships on behalf of the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, providing full or partial tuition fee waivers — and in selected cases a monthly living allowance — to the most academically talented non-EU/EEA/Swiss students enrolled in master's degree programmes at one of Denmark's flagship research universities. Awards are typically very limited — often just one or two per programme — making competition intense. Successful candidates are notified together with their admission decisions. The scholarship is available for both the January and September intake cycles, with corresponding deadlines of 15 September and 15 January respectively.
