What DAAD Leadership for Africa Scholarship (West and Central Africa) actually covers.

The DAAD Leadership for Africa (LFA) Scholarship for West and Central Africa supports outstanding students from Cameroon, Senegal, and Togo in pursuing fully funded Master's degree studies at public German universities. Launched in 2021 with funding from the German Federal Foreign Office, the programme provides tuition-free study in Germany, a German language course of up to 6 months prior to studies, a monthly stipend, health insurance, travel costs, and comprehensive academic and cultural support. The scholarship is open to all fields of study except Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Fine Arts, Architecture, and Nursing. The LFA programme aims to build future leaders who can drive sustainable development, good governance, and innovation in their home countries. Scholars receive mentoring from established German professionals, participate in cultural and leadership development activities, and become part of the extensive DAAD alumni network. The programme starts with the German language course, followed by the Winter Semester academic programme in Germany.
