What University of Bologna International Talents Study Grant actually covers.
The University of Bologna "International Talents @ Unibo" programme offers 30 study grants per cycle to outstanding international students enrolling in second-cycle (master's) degree programmes at the world's oldest university — founded in 1088 and consistently ranked among Italy's top three institutions. Each grant is worth €6,500 gross and provides a full exemption from tuition fees for two academic years, representing a combined financial benefit that can exceed €20,000 for students in higher-fee programmes. African students from any nation are eligible and are encouraged to apply. The awards are merit-based, with selection based on GRE test scores and a financial status verification. Applicants must be younger than 30 years old at the time of the application deadline. Bologna is a vibrant university city in northern Italy, known for its high quality of life, excellent public transport, and strong cultural scene. The University of Bologna has significant research links with African institutions and actively recruits international talent. The scholarship application requires submission of GRE scores (which must not be older than five years), academic transcripts, and proof of financial status. Applications are accepted through the University of Bologna's dedicated scholarship portal. The deadline typically falls in late May or early June of the year prior to enrolment. Scholarship holders are also eligible to live in university accommodation at preferential rates.
