The University of Twente Scholarship (UTS) is a merit-based scholarship for outstanding students from EU/EEA and non-EU/EEA countries, including African students, applying for a Master of Science programme at the University of Twente (UT) in the Netherlands. The scholarship is worth between €3,000 and €22,000 for one year, with the possibility of renewal for two-year programmes. The University of Twente is a leading technical and entrepreneurial university, known for its high-quality engineering, technology, and social science programmes, as well as its innovative research and strong industry links. The UT is situated in the vibrant campus city of Enschede and offers a welcoming international environment with students from over 80 countries. UTS recipients typically belong to the top 5-10% of their class. Applications are reviewed in two rounds, with deadlines of 1 February and 1 May 2026, giving prospective African students flexibility in timing their applications.
