The Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS) at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) is a prestigious fully funded scholarship for outstanding non-EU/EEA students applying for first-time full-time Master's programmes at UvA. The scholarship covers the full tuition fee plus an additional €5,000 allowance for the duration of the one-year programme, with some faculties offering up to €25,900. Selection is based on academic merit first and financial need second, as demonstrated through a financial plan submitted during application. The University of Amsterdam is one of Europe's leading research universities and the Netherlands' largest, offering more than 150 English-taught Master's programmes across all academic disciplines.
