What African Union Peace Fund Scholarship actually covers.
The African Union Peace Fund Scholarship Programme supports African scholars and practitioners working in peace and security, conflict prevention, and post-conflict reconstruction in Africa. The scholarship provides funding for postgraduate studies in peace and security-related fields at African or international universities. The African Union Peace Fund was established to fund AU-led peace and security activities and capacity building, and the scholarship component aims to develop a new generation of African peace and security experts. Recipients gain advanced knowledge in areas such as conflict resolution, peacekeeping, transitional justice, disarmament, and peace education. The scholarship is part of the African Union's broader efforts to make peace and security a homegrown, African-led priority, reducing dependence on external actors and building sustainable peace on the continent. African scholars working in government, civil society, academia, or international organisations who wish to advance their expertise in peace and security are encouraged to apply.
