What AGRA Scholars Program for African Professionals in Agriculture actually covers.
The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), in partnership with leading African and international universities, provides scholarships for African professionals and researchers to pursue advanced studies in agriculture, agronomy, food systems, agribusiness, and related fields. AGRA's scholarship programmes have supported hundreds of African scientists, extension officers, policymakers, and agribusiness professionals in developing the skills needed to transform African agriculture. AGRA believes that agricultural transformation in Africa requires a new generation of skilled, trained, and empowered African professionals, and its scholarship programmes are designed to build this human capital. Scholars are typically sponsored to pursue Masters or PhD degrees at African or international universities in fields relevant to agricultural transformation, food systems, and rural development. AGRA periodically opens scholarship calls, and African professionals working in agriculture and food systems are encouraged to monitor the AGRA website for new opportunities.
