What Commonwealth Master's Scholarships actually covers.
The Commonwealth Master's Scholarships are funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and administered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC). They are available to candidates from eligible lower- and upper-middle-income Commonwealth countries for one year of full-time taught Master's study at a UK university. The award covers tuition fees, a monthly stipend, return economy airfare, and additional grants for arrival, study travel, and thesis expenses where applicable. Applications are made via participating UK universities in the year before study is due to start; nominations are then forwarded to the CSC for final selection. Scholars join the wider Commonwealth Scholar network and are expected to return home after their studies to contribute to their home country's development.
