The bursary provides financial support for outstanding African international students who have been admitted to a postgraduate programme in the Faculty of Humanities. While UCT's broader international scholarship programme was not open for 2026 applications due to funding constraints, the Faculty-level Humanities bursary continues to support deserving African students. Recipients gain access to UCT's world-class academic community, library resources, and research infrastructure, as well as the vibrant city of Cape Town and its cultural and natural environment.
