What UNSW International Research Scholarship actually covers.
The University of New South Wales (UNSW) International Research Scholarship provides full tuition fees and a living allowance for outstanding international students pursuing PhD research at UNSW in Sydney, Australia. UNSW is one of Australia's most prestigious research universities, ranked in the top 20 globally (QS 2024), with world-class programmes in engineering, science, medicine, law, business, and social sciences. The scholarship supports UNSW's mission to be a leader in global research excellence and to attract the world's brightest minds. African PhD candidates from all 54 countries are eligible and actively encouraged to apply. The scholarship includes a living allowance consistent with ARC guidelines, health insurance (OSHC) for the student and their dependants, and a relocation allowance. Recipients gain access to UNSW's state-of-the-art research facilities, experienced supervisors, and an extensive global alumni network. No separate scholarship application is required — candidates are assessed automatically upon submitting their PhD application.
